Now, the iconic Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra collection takes on a new expression with the introduction of translucent pink enamel — an intense, luminous shade that brings a fresh sense of colour, depth and radiance to the celebrated motif.
Developed over several years in the Maison’s enamel workshops, the captivating hue draws inspiration from the historic “gold-ruby” technique, in which fine gold particles within the enamel create its distinctive colour. Tiny bubbles suspended within the translucent material give every motif an individual sense of depth and movement, while its curved surface enhances shimmering reflections.
The new chapter spans five Vintage Alhambra and Magic Alhambra creations, including necklaces, a pendant, bracelet and earrings, pairing the pink enamel with yellow gold or guilloché yellow gold. The result is unmistakably Alhambra, yet refreshingly contemporary.
Beyond its romantic colour story, the collection celebrates the Maison’s mastery of métiers d’art. Van Cleef & Arpels’ enamel workshop commands more than 15 enamelling techniques, supported by a dedicated three-year in-house enamelling school to preserve and develop this specialised savoir-faire.
Framed by the Alhambra’s signature golden bead contours, the pink enamel catches the light with a delicate yet distinctive sparkle. It is a beautiful reminder that at Van Cleef & Arpels, even an icon can continue to evolve — without ever losing the magic that made it timeless.
