Piaget Turns 150 with a Playful Twist on Its Iconic Possession Collection

For 150 years, Luxury watch and jewellery house Piaget has been synonymous with exquisite craftsmanship and audacious design. This year, to celebrate this milestone, the iconic Maison revisits their iconic Possession collection, a testament to their enduring mastery of gold and their playful approach to movement.

The Possession collection has always been a showcase for Piaget’s mastery of gold-smithing, and this anniversary collection takes that expertise to a whole new level. The collection boasts five five exquisite rings, each embodies the “House of Gold” spirit Piaget is renowned for.

Drawing inspiration from generations of master chain-makers, the Possession 150th Anniversary ring features a playful twist on tradition. Three beloved chain designs – the plump gourmette, the braided palm, and the twisted torsade – each exquisitely crafted in white gold and pave-set with diamonds, come together in a harmonious embrace. This ring begs to be played with, its spinning bands catching the light with each playful turn.

Piaget’s fearless approach to colour is evident in another ring, adorned with a dazzling rainbow of sapphires, rubies, and tsavorites. This meticulously set gradient of gemstones spins alongside a band of white diamonds, a testament to Piaget’s ability to transcend their Jura mountain roots and embrace a world of vibrant elegance.

Finally, the collection concludes with a ring featuring the iconic engraved snake motif, seen in the Limelight Gala watch. This single spinning band celebrates the Maison’s extraordinary history of engraving gold, offering a unique textural contrast.

This dazzling Possession capsule isn’t the only way Piaget is celebrating their 150th anniversary. The brand is also revisiting the iconic Piaget Polo from 1979, showcasing their continued mastery of ultra-thin timepieces. Plus, a limited-edition Piaget Polo 150th anniversary watch promises to be a collector’s dream.

This anniversary collection is undeniably luxurious, but it’s also playful and undeniably modern. The campaign perfectly captures this spirit by featuring Ella Richards, a model who embodies effortless chic. Her collaboration with photographer Brigitte Niedermair creates a stunning image – a perfect representation of Piaget today: a brand with a rich heritage and a vibrant, modern perspective.
