Onitsuka Tiger Launches OHBORI™ EX – A Modern Update of 1974 Archive Model

This month, Japanese fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger launches a new contemporary collection that combines fashion with sports, and heritage with innovation. The new OHBORI™ EX model, inspired by the “OHBORI™ shoe” which was first released in 1974 and worn by the Olympic medalist.

This new model features the sharp toe, which was a distinctive design point on the original model, has been reproduced. While maintaining its sporty and retro look, the OHBORI™ model has been revived in modern days as a hybrid shoe further adding high functionality. It consists of the outsole with improved cushioning thanks to the elastic multilayer structure, which was also used in the original “OHBORI™ shoe”, and a midsole made of fuzeGEL™,a light foam which has repulsiveness.

The OHBORI™ EX model will be on sale at RM539 in selected Onitsuka Tiger stores at Suria KLCC, Sunway Pyramid, Mid Valley Megamall and Southkey Mid Valley, and online at https://www.onitsukatiger.com/my/en-my/mk/ohboriex from September 2020 onwards.
