#KLFW2025: Levi’s KLFW 2025 Designer Feature – Championing Next-Gen Malaysian Designers with Iconic Denim Reinterpretations

Levi’s is making waves at Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) 2025 with an exciting debut showcase that highlights Malaysia’s emerging fashion talents. The LEVI’S DESIGNER FEATURE, an innovative platform dedicated to self-expression and creativity, pairs Levi’s iconic denim pieces with the bold visions of 13 next-generation Malaysian designers. A celebration of both Levi’s rich heritage and Malaysia’s evolving fashion scene, this showcase is a powerful fusion of classic craftsmanship and forward-thinking design.

“As a brand rooted in authenticity and self-expression, Levi’s is proud to be a part of KLFW 2025, championing the next generation of designers,” said Hervé Bullot, Head of Marketing at Levi’s APAC. “This collaboration not only deepens our connection to the local creative community but also provides a powerful platform for young talents to reinterpret our timeless pieces in new, unique ways.”

The Designers: Reimagining Levi’s Icons Through a Fresh Lens

The LEVI’S DESIGNER FEATURE brings together 13 visionary designers, each tasked with reworking Levi’s timeless icons such as the 501 jeans, the Trucker Jacket, and the Western Shirt, along with other iconic fits like the baggy jeans. The theme, “Denim Through A New Lens,” encourages these designers to challenge conventional denim styles, infusing their creations with elements of streetwear, utilitarian edge, and avant-garde aesthetics.

The participating designers include: AKUDESIGN, Andrew Charles, Daniel Ong, Fairuz Ramdan, Hasz Hishaam, Mei Xuan, Masyadi Mansoor (MSYD), Natasha Khan, Oscar Lee (OUTDWELL), Russell Chin, Salahuddin Hilmi, SOOCHIENYEOL, and Zaff Ben Jibby. Their collections, which first made their debut on the KLFW runway, will also be available online via Levi.com.my, extending their reach to a broader audience.

Each design reimagines the classic Levi’s pieces, reflecting contemporary identities and pushing boundaries in denim fashion. With every turn, the audience is invited to explore the evolving possibilities of denim, as these young designers breathe fresh life into long-loved Levi’s staples.

A Bold Move for Levi’s in Southeast Asia

Through this initiative, Levi’s reaffirms its commitment to nurturing creativity and originality in the fashion world. By partnering with the next generation of designers, Levi’s not only strengthens its presence within Southeast Asia’s fashion scene but also continues to evolve, staying at the forefront of innovative denim design.

“Levi’s continues to inspire and nurture creativity,” adds Bullot. “Initiatives like the Designer Feature serve as testaments to the enduring relevance of our brand, where past and future meet. Our iconic pieces, such as the 501, Trucker Jacket, and Western Shirt, remain canvases for bold new ideas that speak to today’s generation.”

Timeless Levi’s Icons Redefined for Autumn/Winter 2025

As part of the Autumn/Winter 2025 Collection, Levi’s iconic denim pieces receive an updated twist with reimagined fits, textures, and fabrications. The 501 Family continues to be the brand’s denim backbone, with updated versions designed for versatility and comfort. The standout 501 90s for women offers a relaxed, vintage-inspired fit, while men can opt for the timeless 501 Original, infused with Americana-inspired styling.

For those seeking innovation, the 501 Thermodapt incorporates cutting-edge adaptive denim technology, allowing the fabric to regulate temperature, keeping the wearer cool in warm weather and warm in cooler climates.
