The fourth Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week Ready-To-Wear 2016 (KLFW RTW 2016) will return this year from August 17 to 21 at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur to showcase the never-seen-before “Runway Collections” from close to 100 fashion designers over the 5 days.

KLFW RTW 2016 was pre-launched at Avenue K Shopping Mall yesterday with the attendance of Y.B. Datuk Seri Mirza Mohammad Taiyab, Director General of Tourism Malaysia, Ms. Baizuri Baharum, Head of Secretariat Shopping Malaysia Tourism Malaysia, Mr. Andrew Tan, Founder of Andrew Models and KLFW RTW, Ms Sue Wang, General Manager of Avenue K Shopping Mall.

Served as a B2C platform for Malaysia designers, KLFW RTW was initiated by Mr. Andrew Tan in 2013 to showcase the local designers’ RTW collections and ultimately highlighted the strength and creativity of the Malaysia’s Fashion Industry to local and international customers.

“The amount of designers showing for the first time is a great testament of the attention that KLFW is receiving both on a national and international level,”

Working closely with Tourism Malaysia and AirAsia, KLFW RTW 2016 will also be inviting 4 international guest designers from China, India, Australia and South Korea to facilitate a creative bi-lateral dialogue between local and international designers and to promote the international growth of the local designers. In additional, 5 Indonesian designers and 5 Singaporean designers will also making their appearance at the KLFW RTW 2016, courtesy of their official online e-commerce partner, FashionValet.

AirAsia Runway Ready Designer Search (AARRDS) is once again will be one of the highlights of the KLFW RTW 2016. The AARRDS goes regional this year with the competition expanded to Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines, as well as Malaysia to discover the potential young creative talents.
