Connected by a love for music, fashion and culture, fashion powerhouse Balmain and Beats by Dr. Dre unite in a celebration of innovation and diversity with special edition headphones and earphones designed by Olivier Rousteing.
“The best of music can only be paired to the best in design”, said Balmain’s Creative Director Olivier Rousteing. Drawing inspiration from an urban safari, Rousteing envisioned a beautiful escape accessible only through the power of music. It is within the belief that music allow us to dream and to be transported to a place free from chaos that these unique partnership is born.
The special edition includes two new custom designs for Beats existing models: Beats Studio Wireless Over-Ear Headphones and Powerbeats3 Wireless Earphones, in Safari (tan colour finished with metallic gold accents to represent the natural feel of the desert) and Khaki (olive green leather finished with metallic gold accents to mirror the lush landscape of the jungle). Each piece comes with a matching suede case adorned with a Balmain plaque and the symbolic Balmain coin zipper pull.
Naturally, Rousteing tapped into one of his famous friends, Kylie Jenner, to front the glamorous campaign. A fan of the headphones herself, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner sister is thrilled to be part of the Beats/Balmain Army.
“Beats are my favorite headphones, so this is something I’m passionate about and I’m excited to be a part of this campaign,” said Jenner. “No matter what you’re going through, when you put on a song that you love, and that you just connect with, it can change your whole mood and just lift you up. Even if it’s just for a few minutes…I love that escape music gives us.”
