Malaysia’s trail running community gathered in Cameron Highlands as Cameron Ultra-Trail (CULTRA) 2026 Presented by ASICS returned for its milestone 10th edition from 17 to 19 July. Back as Presenting Sponsor for the second consecutive year, ASICS reaffirmed its commitment to growing the sport while encouraging more Malaysians to embrace the outdoors.

Set against the region’s rugged mountain terrain, the annual ultra-trail race welcomed thousands of runners, from seasoned endurance athletes to first-time trail enthusiasts. ASICS athletes delivered standout performances throughout the weekend, with Oswald Maikol claiming the Men’s 60KM Open title, while Mohamad Amierul Amin, Halimatun Saadiah and Khairulamirin Kamarudin secured podium finishes across the 100KM and 30KM categories.
The event also served as the exclusive preview platform for ASICS’ latest trail running innovations ahead of their Malaysian release on 1 August 2026. The performance-driven METAFUJI™ TRAIL 2 and the all-new BLAZEBLAST™ were unveiled, expanding the brand’s trail running lineup for both elite competitors and recreational runners.
As the event marked its 10th anniversary, ASICS continued to champion its Sound Mind, Sound Body philosophy by supporting athletes of every level while inspiring more Malaysians to discover the physical and mental rewards of trail running.
