Galderma, the dermatology company who carries a wide range of medical solution brands in 80 countires, has through its “Proof in Real Life” global campaign, partnered with doctors to demonstrate to our Malaysians the natural-looking results from 2 products of one of its brands, Restylane fillers and Restylane Skinbooster in real life.

The global campaign was launched in Berlin, Germany by celebrity, Sharon Stone and 10 pairs of identical twins took part in a unique challenge of the campaign. One twin from each pair received a personalised treatment plan which consisted of treatments with Restylane fillers and Restylane Skinboosters, or a combination of both. Those present had the rare opportunity to witness the before-and-after results in real life.

“As cosmetic and plastic surgery increasingly become an accepted norm, dermatologists and aestheticians would agree on these three pillars vital in the delivery of a treatment – good material, a good injection instrument and a good physician to deliver the product,” shared Dr Hyoung, who co-authored the official textbooks of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS).

Present at the recent event were key industry speakers such as Dr Hew Yin Keat, President of The Malaysian Society of Aesthetic Medicine, Dr Karen Po Chen Hui, Aesthetic Physician, Beverly Wilshire, and Dr Anna Hoo, Director, Medical Wellness Sdn Bhd.

Derived from non-animal origin, Restylane is made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a compound that is naturally present in the human body and depletes with age. Restylane products use a component found in the skin called hyaluronic acid and Galderma uses a unique technology to incorporate this ingredient – meaning, it differs only slightly from your skin’s own natural hyaluronic acid – for safe and natural-looking aesthetic treatments.

According to Galderma, the maker of Restylane, its filler treatments provide an instant result but their effects can last up to 12 months depending on the treatment area. 11 Restylane Skinboosters are especially designed to deliver lasting moisturisation and improvements in the skin.
