Dior has unveiled its latest fragrance, Miss Dior Essence, a daring reinterpretation by Francis Kurkdjian, the maison’s Perfume Creation Director. Described as fruity, luscious, and sensual, the new composition reflects Dior’s vision of contemporary femininity: unapologetic, confident, and vibrantly alive.
Anchored in a gourmand accord of blackberry and elderflower, Miss Dior Essence radiates freshness while embracing depth with a woody oak base. At its heart, jasmine sambac pays homage to the fragrance’s 1947 origins while revealing a more audacious, modern spirit. Kurkdjian likens the perfume to a “sexy, irreverent pop-art statement,” echoing the rebellious graffiti and bold slogans seen across Dior’s Fall-Winter 2024-25 ready-to-wear show.
In conjunction with the launch of Miss Dior Essence in Malaysia, Dior Beauty organized a star-studded party at APW Bangsar on August 28th. The venue was transformed into a Dior dreamscape as the city’s tastemakers gathered for the glamorous unveiling of Miss Dior Essence de Parfum—a fragrance as bold and luminous as the women who wear it. From fashion darlings to rising stars, the evening glittered with the hottest faces in town, each embodying the hyper-feminine yet fearless spirit of Miss Dior Essence.
The launch also marks a striking evolution of Dior’s iconic bottle. Retaining its heritage “suit-cut” silhouette, the flacon now features frosted houndstooth engravings, a refined black grosgrain dagger bow, and for the first time, a glass lid.
In campaign visuals, Natalie Portman reprises her role as the face of Miss Dior, embodying a fearless, rock-inspired muse. Directed by Manu Cossu, the film captures her fiery race through Paris—from the National French Library to zinc rooftops—underscoring Dior’s message of love, freedom, and strength.
Miss Dior Essence is now available at the Dior website – retailing at RM480 (35ml), RM700 (50ml), and RM925 (80ml).
