In case you missed the news, Taiwan-owned food and beverage company La Kaffa International Ltd which is the franchisor of Chatime has terminated its contract with Loob Holdings Sdn Bhd.

Following that, Loob Holdings Bryan Loo mentioned that the 165 Chatime outlets under his company will officially close on March 6. Also, the company has announced that they are already moving forward and will be replacing every Chatime outlet with its own brand which it describes as “born in Malaysia and raised for the world”.

Under the Facebook page Tea Is Our Life, Loob Holdings released a video entitled “The Power Of Tea” earlier this week.

The 1 minute 16 seconds long video briefly describing about what the company has been working on. Loo said in the video, “We are going to brew something new, something exciting. We are going to work day and night, weekends and holidays so we can come back with a bang.”

As reported by The Star, the new brand will still sport a familiar purple colour logo and they would specialise in tea drinks as well but would also be open to experiment with new beverages such as fresh juices and artisanal coffee.
