It was fandemonium the moment Big Bang’s Seungri stepped out of the car to make his way to the grand opening of YG Republique as a special guest at TREC KL last Friday evening. Joining him were Korean celebrities – songwriter / actor / TV personality Jung Joon Young & F.T. Island’s Choi Jong Hoon – alongside Seungri’s NHR music label DJs Danu, TPA & Glory, with K Plus models, Yeon Hui and Soh Hee. Seungri also performed his first ever DJ set at Zouk KL on the same night.
In case you missed out on the craziness, we managed to catch a glimpse of the star as he made his way to the restaurant.
The three-hour invite-only event at YG’s K Pub and alfresco was attended by some 350 guests, graced by Korean ambassador to Malaysia Dr You and Korea’s YG Foods CEO, Noh Hee Young.

We are working closely with Ms Sainy, our local partner and an experienced restaurateur, to bring the authenticity of 3Geori Butcher’s and K Pub in various aspects. We are proud to see another venue in this country that will al so cater to new audiences as well as its faithful fans,” said Noh Hee Young, CEO of YG Foods.
The artistes had a private dining session at 3Geori Butcher’s, you can say they were the first bunch to dine there too.
The artists also signed on YG Republique’s signature pig-shaped balloons and marked the walls with their handwritten signatures, as part of their venue opening ritual.
A local wall mural artist also presented Seungri an original artwork, a portrait of the Korean pop star.
