Located in Quill City Mall, Aragan Yokocho is finally opened and armed with more than 200 types of Japanese food under the same roof. Describe themselves as the first and biggest restaurant in Asia, the 18,848 sq. ft restaurant has much to offer to Malaysian food lovers in its own unique ways.

We were lucky enough to be part of the launch event, allowing a sneak peek to what this space has got to offer.

Having 10 stations in such a big restaurant, Aragan Yokocho has similar concept as food court, except that all the stations are under the same management.

The dining areas are seasonally themed, featuring the four seasons in Japan: spring, summer, autumn and winter.

Aragan Yokocho uses only premium ingredients. All of their fresh seafood are flown in from every district of Japan weekly to promote a truly authentic Japanese dining experience.

Now, on to the food.

First, we tasted their Migiri Moriawase which came with chef’s choice of seven kinds of nigiri.

Migiri RM28Chicken Teriyaki is a very popular Japanese food in Malaysia. We all like Teriyaki Chicken with perfectly tender chicken meat doused in a savoury teriyaki sauce. I would say this dish goes perfectly well with a bowl of rice.

Teriyaki RM15For those who love soup, they also offer Tori Sukiyaki. It’s raining season currently, what’s more perfect than a big pot of steamy hot sukiyaki?

Tori RM18

We enjoyed the food and we had a great experience. Aragan Yokocho did manage to set itself apart from the other offerings in town but the price is on the higher-end as compare to other Japanese chain restaurants.

Special thanks to Aragan Food for having us.
