There are several culturally-inspiring towns and villages within a few hours’ drive, including:

Ceuta:   The Museo Municipal in Ceuta is a treasure trove of archaeological displays.
Tetouan:  Locally known as the “White Dove”, this is a charming town with an illustrious history. As the capital of the Spanish protectorate from 1912-1958, the town has a distinct Spanish influence in its architecture and design. Tetouan is a neat enclave of avenues fringed by pink, purple and vermillion bougainvillea flowers that cascade over the snow-white walls of its European style villas while fountains cool the sunny piazzas. The Medina of Tetouan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered to be a perfect example of Andalusian architecture.
Chefchaouen: Tucked deep in the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen is widely regarded as one of the prettiest towns in Morocco.  A 50 minutes’ drive from the resort, this town is known as the ‘Blue Town’ due to the buildings’ walls being washed in blue paint.  Painted in hues from sea to sky blue they are made even more dazzling with the addition of fiery red roof tiles. Chefchaouen is a wonderful town to explore with easy access to the surrounding, cool green hills.
Tangier:  The medina, kasbah, bazaars and souks of Tangier are amongst the country’s most vibrant, and its beaches, stunning.  Its upscale restaurants, art galleries, literary cafes and fashion boutiques make Tangier legendary in the region.

8. Gourmet Cuisine Cooking Class

Whip up gourmet cuisines from scratch in a creative and fun cooking session and learn about traditional Moroccan or Thai cuisine. At the end of the class, receive a certificate to commend your newly learnt cooking skills.

9. Sense of Place

Paying homage to the distinct architecture and design found in the magical towns and villages across the northern coastline of Morocco, Banyan Tree Tamouda Bay pays tribute to the region’s Andalusian-Moorish legacy and Moroccan heritage to evoke a very special and exotic sense of place.
