The Wanderlust hotel is situated in Singapore’s Little India. Its owner Mr. Loh Lik Peng, transformed an abandoned school from the1920’s to a stylish boutique hotel. He incorporated his innovative and bold ideas to the concept of the hotel which help decorate the streets of Little India. The four-storey building is a modern Art Deco style, decorated with a floral tiles and an elegant façade; the ground floor house a lobby, a bar and a restaurant.

The design of the Wanderlust Hotel is mainly Pop Art themed where the hotel owner also showcased his artistic talent, creating a whimsical and fashionable playground. The hotel is colorful and energetic, providing travelers a different experience.

The boutique hotel invited Asylum, Phunk Studio, DP Architects and fFurious to participate in the interior design. These four well-known design teams inputted creative themes of the attic and the room design. To name a few, there were star watching, typewriter and forest tree House where guests feel like walking into a fairytale world.This surrealist bold design has already brought numerous great reviews to the hotel.

Asylum has incorporated a variety of elements to the lobby design to make it look like a vibrant playground. First step into the hotel lobby, there is an eye-catching Indian totem wall paired with colorful designer mix of modern and antique furniture. The owner also put together her chair collections, the mismatched chairs deliberately created a freestyle, fun space.

Wanderlust is a 10-minute walk from Bugis and Little India Subway Station. It is a 25-minute drive from Singapore Changi International Airport and the location is easily accessible. The hotel has 29 well-appointed rooms, each with an iPod docking station, a safe, flat-screen cable TV and a mosaic tiled jacuzzi. The hotel also offers free Wi-Fi, a minibar and a coffee maker.
