Dr. Clo Malaysia has donated 4,000 disinfectant sticks worth more than RM250,000 to Sabah State Health Department and front liners as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative in combatting the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Mr. Ng Lyp Hau, Director of Dr. Clo Malaysia, Dr. Clo disinfectant sticks are a non-medical patented portable sterilisation device that is designed to provide airborne protection, creating a shield against bacteria and viruses. An innovation of NON Corporation Ltd in South Korea, Dr. Clo disinfectant stick is a liquid-based Chlorine Dioxide product registered with theUS Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and successfully patented in 2014. Chlorine dioxide acts as a key agent to sterilise, sanitise and eliminate viruses and pathogens in a matter of seconds.
Furthermore, this Dr. Clo disinfectant sticks as claimed by Leela Lee, Executive Director of NON Corporation Ltd, was found to achieve more than 99.93% virus reduction rate in treatment times ranging from 30 seconds to two minutes, following a series of stringent virucidal tests against the Covid-19 virus over a span of seven days. The laboratory tests were conducted by KR Biotech Co. Ltd under the Institute of Infectious Disease Control of Konkuk University.
Customised for use in various aspects of modern lifestyles, Dr. Clo disinfectant stick which has achieved sales of 1.5 million units across Asia in 2019, made its Malaysian debut in June this year. Each stick can be used up to 50 days, and it comes in 5 variants:
