The Miss Grand Malaysia Organization announced Ranmeet Jassal as the new Miss Grand Malaysia and will be flying to Las Vegas to compete at Miss Grand International 2016 at a coronation event, held at Mango’s Tropical Café in TREC KL last week. The 24 year old beauty is a qualified medical doctor graduated from Rajhiv Gandhi University in India and hopes to do well at the international stage.

Crowning her successor was Santhawan Boonratana, Miss Grand Malaysia 2015. Santhawan represented the country last year at the international pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand and secured two notable achievements  including Top10 Miss Popular Vote and Top 20 Best National Costume amongst the 75 delegates competing from around the world.

The coronation event saw many Malaysian beauty queens, leading fashion designers and industry players attending the event to welcome Malaysia’s new darling.  Ms. Claire Elizabeth Parker, Miss Grand International 2015 also presented at the coronation party for Miss Grand Malaysia 2016.

Ranmeet Jassal, the newly crowned Miss Grand International 2016 will represent Malaysia in the Miss Grand International 2016 which will take place in Las Vegas, USA from October 10-25. “Representing the country is an honour and I look forward to make my fellow Malaysians proud. Most importantly, as I will represent the name of country Malaysia I would like to showcase the essence of being a true Malaysian through friendship and camaraderie,” said Ranmeet Jassal, Miss Grand Malaysia 2016.
