Art and Pop Culture Is Back In UNIQLO Spring/Summer 2017 UT Collection

Art and Pop Culture Is Back In UNIQLO Spring/Summer 2017 UT Collection-Pamper.my

UNIQLO is rolling out the latest Spring/Summer UT (UNIQLO T-shirts) collection nationwide and online from the end of February onwards. The new line-up celebrates its 10th anniversary by returning to UT roots in collaborations with top pop culture artists from around the globe. This includes New York’s Futura, the father of abstract street art, featuring the artist’s best work in his first collaboration with the brand. Men’s and boys’ items from the collaboration present a mature perspective of the New York art scene, and also incorporate a logo and tag designed exclusively by Futura for the collection.

Also new to the UT line-up is Mr. A, the alter ego of graffiti artist André Saraiva, beloved by celebrities around the globe. Women’s and girls’ items include graphics designed especially for the UT range. Tees for women, girls and babies also feature content from ÉPICE DESIGN, famed worldwide for its delightful floral print scarves. The new line-up also features more playful items for family coordination fun.

Last but not least, the UT range features Sanrio characters that have become wildly popular among people of all ages. These include the iconic Hello Kitty, Pom Pom Purin (Sanrio’s top-ranked character in 2016), and Gudetama, a lethargic cartoon egg.

Since launching in 2007, UT has highlighted an array of authentic pop culture and art graphics from around the world. UT is one element of UNIQLO LifeWear: innovative, high-quality clothing that is universal in design and comfort and made for everyone, everywhere. UT has evolved significantly since 2013, when NIGO became Creative Director, presenting new fabrics and styles to match different contexts.
