Hijab fashion is now at its peak, and we have seen many brands incorporate this into their range of clothing to cater to Muslim women needs. Take Uniqlo for example. Hijab, also known as a veil/head scarf or in malay, the tudung, is an Arabic word which means to hide from view.

These days there are many different methods to wear a hijab – from a series of folds, to utilising pins, and brooches. You can even use different materials, like a shawl or pashmina. Gone are the days when women would have limited choices when it came to the way they wore their hijab, it’s now a statement and can be worn fashionably.

Rather than sticking to the traditional forms, you can add a bit of colour to your outfits by choosing your colour palettes. You can mix and match them with your outfits in your wardrobe, and/or choose materials that have a little bit of pattern to them – florals, polka dots.

There are plenty of resources online from photographic tutorials to YouTube videos and any woman will be spoilt for choice. Let’s take a look at some simple tutorials on how to wear a hijab and the various methods you can wrap the scarf.
