G-SHOCK Celebrates 35th Anniversary With A Week-Long Roadshow In Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

The legendary icon of toughness, G-SHOCK turns 35 this year. To celebrate the meaningful milestone, Casio Malaysia and Marco Corporation have hosted a week-long roadshow at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur Centre Court from 30th July until 5th August 2018 where mall-goers stand a chance to walk away with a G-SHOCK watch and plenty other prizes.

Kicking off the grand celebration on July 31st was Lego Sam and his B-Boy crew who entertained the crowd with an adrenaline-charged performance against a stunning graffiti backdrop by Malaysian graffiti artist Kenji Chai. Both Lego Sam and Kenji Chai shared the “Absolute Toughness” DNA that propelled G-SHOCK to where it is today in the pop-culture world.

No celebration is complete without a walk down history lane, thus, an exhibit showcasing the history of the classic 5600 model or better known as the “Origin Series” were displayed to provide an in-depth information on how the series came to be.

For a whole week, mall-goers were challenged to a slew of exciting Absolute Toughness activities such as the Human Claw Challenge where visitors are hoisted up over a pool filled with G-SHOCK balloons and given the chance to claw up a balloon which contains a ticket that allows them to redeem a prize. Another fun-filled activity is the King of the Hammer where visitors get to hammer away to score an actual G-SHOCK watch.
