Young, wild and free punctuated with irreverent attitude of the street. The very essence of Versus Versace heightened in a creative “cut and paste” technique formed the Pre-Fall 2018 lineup.
“The answers here are all within the house.” And so the Versus team revisits “thousands of pieces of genius” from Versace’s archives, tears prints and pieces, and meshes it back together to form newly revamped staples. The Lion belt print, for example, is reworked in vivid purple with white or green on shirt-dresses, denim and leggings, giving it the street edge that’s quintessentially Versus.
With the logo craze that’s plastered all over the fashionscape, naturally Versus has got your back. Literally. Oversized wool pea coat stretched with Versus logo at the back, leather choker, micro bag, backpack and belt too emblazoned with the house logo. Something that certainly rings with the young hearts.
Adding rawness to pin down the street flavour, the safety pin becomes a foolproof accessory: metal pins on knitwear, zipper sliders on cigarette pants, denim ensembles and more, insinuating the “I-don’t-care” attitude. Embroidered on cropped sweatshirts with exaggerated sleeves or on lace, the safety pin gives the Versus female an untouchable aura wherever she goes.
