Burberry Launches ‘The Pocket Bag’ Campaign Starring Bella Hadid

Burberry introduce The Pocket Bag, a new signature for the house designed by Chief Creative Officer Riccardo Tisci, as part of Autumn/Winter 2019 collection. The structured tote takes inspiration from an archival Burberry bag. The original silhouette is reinterpreted by adding a front pocket and leather taping. Crafted in Italy, the bag features a reinforced top handle and detachable, adjustable shoulder strap, and finished with contrast topstitching and hand-painted edges. The exterior pocket features magnetic gold-tone hardware closures.

In Burberry’s first ever bag campaign, Riccardo gave the Pocket Bag a powerful modern energy and together with Katy, Inez and Vinoodh, they developed an exciting campaign inspired by Burberry’s Animal Kingdom, starring Bella Hadid who’s described by Riccardo as as the panther with fierce power and raw femininity that perfectly embodies the animal spirit.

We had so much fun on set, the mood was really sultry and playful, I felt we were really capturing that feline energy and power. In her second campaign for Burberry, Bella is captured in a series of images and videos by Inez and Vinoodh. Bella embodies the animal figures featured in the campaign through her raw power and feline femininity, reinforcing both Thomas Burberry and Riccardo’s recognition of the power and symbolism of animals.

The Pocket Bag comes in a variety of sizes including the mini, the medium and extra large, and colourways, from canvas to embossed leather, and is available to purchase in selected Burberry stores globally and online.
