#QuickChatwithPamper: Jenny Park, Makeup Creative Director of Moonshot

Pamper. My Meets: Jenny Park, Makeup Creative Director of Moonshot

As the Makeup Creative Director of Moonshot, Jenny Park is one of the creative force behind Moonshot’s products such as the latest Lip Feat collection featuring BLACKPINK. From the product creation to setting the trends that will drive the beauty industry, we sat down with her to learn more about the latest from Moonshot.

1. What’s the biggest makeup trend in Korea now?

Bold lipstick colours are very popular at the moment, especially red colour. Before it was the gradation lip trend, where they has to use 2 colours to create that look but now they’re more drawn to the bold lip look.

2. Were Big Bang (Bigbang10 Lip Balm & Hand Cream) and Black Pink (Lip Feat Collection) involved in creating the products as well?

Big Bang actually gave us the idea to create the lip balm and hand cream because they wear a lot of lip balm and hand cream themselves when they’re performing on stage and during appearances. They wanted a specific texture for those two products, for example, something that’s less shiny on their lips and a non-oily texture for the hand cream. So once this product was created, it was supposed to be a personal product for the group that’s not sold to the public but since their 10th Anniversary was closing in, they wanted to share these to their fans too. It’s a unisex product where the lip balm is not scented and the hand cream has a light scent of G-Dragon’s EDT.

I was involved in creating the Lip Feat collection and as well as discuss the concepts for their makeup with the group’s personal stylists. BLACKPINK was not really involved in creating the Lip Feat collection but they matched 4 colours to each of the members and the members are really happy with it. Now the shade Barely Nude from Rosé’s collection is really popular now! You can see them wearing the shades from the Lip Feat collection during performances and music videos.

3. Out of all the colours in the Lip Feat collection, what are your favourites?

I like the nude colours like the one I’m wearing on my lips which is Barely Nude, the popular shade that Rosé is wearing. It easy to match with smokey eyes since I usually wear eyeshadow. To me, eyeshadow is more important than eyeliner.

I would recommend the Jelly Pot because it’s an interesting product that’s only found in Moonshot and it’s easy-to-use multi-use product which you can use for your nails too. The jelly-like texture that has no fall outs and you can just use our fingers to apply the product easily. I also recommend the Microfit Cushion that was endorsed by G-Dragon.

In South East Asia, the Multi Protection UV Bouncer SPF50+ PA+++ is the best-selling product because of its cooling aqua gel light texture that both men and women can use as a sunblock or primer base. It also moisturizes your skin with a non-sticky finish.
