1. Rice Milk

The taste of rice milk is lighter and watery with a subtle sweetness in it. The fortified rice milk is suitable for people who are lactose intolerance or those who allergic to nuts and soy. It has higher doses of vitamin B12 as compared to goat’s milk. However, if you are on diet, a cup of rice milk packs twice the carbs content of cow’s milk, so it is not ideal for weight watchers.

2. Almond Milk

If you prefer the nutty flavour, try consuming almond milk. It is thin and watery with a nutty flavour. With a cup of almond milk, it provides 50 percent of your recommended daily vitamin E intake. However, almond milk offers little protein and must be fortified with calcium to replace cow’s milk as a source of calcium.

3. Goat’s Milk

It is thicker than low-fat cow’s milk. Apart from that, goat’s milk is an all-round winner when it comes to protecting bones and muscle and it is loaded with calcium, potassium and phosphorus. If you are lactose intolerance, you should avoid goat’s milk as it low in lactose.

4. Hemp Milk

Hemp milk is planted milk made from hemp seeds that are soaked and ground in water and beany-nutty cream-flavoured milk. It is creamy with an earthy taste, rich in omega-3. A serving of hemp milk provides 64 percent of your suggested daily intake. However, hemp milk is high in fat, you may want to limit yourself to two cups a day.
