This primer brightens and refreshes your complexion instantly. One of my favourite primers to date as it perks up my dull skin and provides a smooth texture to make my foundation application easier thanks to the Cool Light Technology. It contains mineral-rich spring water, prickly pear flower, and sodium hyaluronate capture moisture to hydrate and revives your skin. And it’s free of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.

Best Foundation – shu uemura the lightbulb essence essential-oil-in foundation (RM210)

This light to medium coverage foundation is infused with 5 precious botanical oils that moisturize your skin while giving it a natural healthy glow! In 2 weeks even without makeup on (if you use it daily), your bare skin will look smoother and healthier. It also has a powerful dual protections toward UVA/UVB to protect your skin.

Best Cushion – Shiseido Synchro Skin White Cushion Compact (RM200)

Made with Responsive Sensory Technology, the cushion will instantly reduce the appearance of dark spots, freckles, and dullness to give you a glowing complexion. At the same time, it covers skin discolouration and protects your skin from dryness, ultraviolet rays, oxidation, and future spot damaging factors.

Best Concealer – YSL Touche Eclat (RM179)

The famous radiance boosting pen works well as a highlighter and a concealer especially for under your eyes and the high points of your face.

Its velvety smooth, non-drying formula helps smooth out your skin and has soft focus pigments that help minimise the appearance of imperfections, giving you a flawless finish. Formulated without parabens and synthetic fragrances, it is also non-comedogenic and dermatologically tested. And cruelty-free since it’s not tested on animals.

Best Bronzer – TheBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer (RM93)

My staple bronzer for the longest time, it’s very pigmented so a little goes a long way and it’s long-wearing! I think this shade is great for light to medium skin tones who want that a sunkissed sculpt. The packaging is so kitschy and light so it’s great for travelling too.

Best Blush – Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Mood Exposure (RM182)

If you haven’t tried any of the blushes from Hourglass, you have to try this for that natural flushed cheeks look with a glow! These blushes are made with the customized lighting effects of Ambient® Lighting Powder and formulated using an advanced miscelare technique—which means “to mix” in Italian—creating the perfect balance of pigment and powder, and no two look alike.

Best Highlighter – Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Moonlight (RM199)

Such a versatile product because it can be used alone, mixed with liquid products (moisturizer, foundation, etc), or even layered on top of powders to create a buildable highlight or sunkissed tint. It’s formulated with a high concentration of pearls that produce a lit-from-within glow without appearing too glittery or overdone so you can layer it on to your highlight’s desires. Also safe for your skin as it’s formulated without parabens, mineral oil, gluten, talc, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP (dibutyl phthalate), and camphor.

Best Eyeshadow Palette – Urban Decay Naked Heat (RM230)

One of the hottest eyeshadow palettes that were launched last year because warm, reddish toned browns were such a rage! Get the hot deets here.

Best Eyebrow Pencil – Sisley Paris Phyto-Sourcils Design (RM230)

A luxurious eyebrow pencil that comes with a brow highlight and a spoolie brush, what more can I ask for? Plus, it’s a skincare formula tested under ophthalmological control so it’s safe and takes care of your brows, making it softer by the day.

Best Eyeliner – KISS ME Heavy Rotation Marker Pen Eyeliner (RM51.90)

One of the best eyeliners to date because it’s long lasting, waterproof and smudge-proof! I have oily eyelids and this lasted the entire day. The marker tip also makes it easy to apply and it dries to a matte black finish that’s pigmented.

Best Mascara – Diorshow Pump ‘N’ Volume Mascara (Price unavailable)

This gave my lashes life without clumping them together and it’s long-wearing too! I enjoyed the innovation where you can squeeze the flexible mascara tube to soften the ultra-volumizing formula and get it on the brush before applying it.

Best Lip Balm – Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm (RM125)

Models and makeup artists such as Bella Hadid and Pony are fans of this and so am I! It’s one of the best high-end lip balms because it keeps your lips moisturized without leaving any flakiness and adds a tint to your lips according to your lip’s pH level, so everyone has a different shade. Now there are more shades and textures to choose from too!

Best Lip Liner – Kat Von D Beauty Everlasting Lip Liner in Lolita (RM89)

The OG shade that goes on light and smooth as butter with 24-hour, water-resistant wear, high pigmentation. It matches the Liquid Lipstick and Studded Kiss Lipstick too so you can have an even longer wear time.

Best Lipstick – Laneige Silk Intense Lipstick in 335 Get The Red (RM85)

A vivid cool-toned red that applies like a dream and is so pigmented that it last all day! And it keeps my lip moisturized as well.

Best Liquid Lipstick – Orkid Cosmetics Matte Suede Creamy Liquid Lipstick in Lava (RM39)

You will fall in love with the formula just like I did because it’s not sticky and it dries down to a matte but not extremely drying finish since it has Vitamin E so your lips won’t shrivel up or feel tight. And this shade of a cool-toned orange is really unique and works for all skin tones! It’s a Malaysian brand that is also 100% cruelty-free, vegan and wudu-friendly.
