It’s a clash of vibrant metallics and muted mattes as Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, explores the possibilities of a season with opulent colours and rich textures with the Dior Metallics Automne/Fall 2017 collection.
Screaming Metal
Inspired by professional makeup but designed as an intuitive, take-anywhere product, Metalizer Eyes & Lips (RM106) contains metal-effect pigments encapsulated in an ultra-creamy, quick-drying texture leaving a light veil of colour with a lasting chrome effect and available in six shades.
Paradoxical Light
This season’s 5 Couleurs palette (RM260) borrows autumn’s play of contrasts between matteness and light.
Finishing Touch To The Eyes
The new Diorshow Bold Brow (RM97) is enriched with microfibers and vitamins (E, B5 and B8) with a mousse-serum formula that helps fortify brows and achieve a lush, full brow shape.
Featuring a beveled tip, Diorshow Pro Liner (RM94) defines the eyes with a pigmented line or colour block of autumnal Burgundy.
Colour Contouring
The double-ended Diorblush Colour & Light (RM184) has a creamy, blendable texture for easy, custom colour contouring. First, use the blush with a matte finish to enhance the cheekbones, followed by the pearly highlighter.
Signature Smile
To amp up the metallic look, Dior released 6 new shades of Rouge Dior (RM125) with matte, satiny and metal effects: a pretty beige Sensual Matte; a rosewood Hypnotic Matte; a raspberry red Sophisticated Matte; a rosy brown Eccentric; a wine red Enigmatic; and, last but not least, a flamboyant red 999 Metallic inspired by the iconic 999.
Paired with the new shades of Rouge Dior, the Dior Contour pencils (RM89) completes the look.
Magnetic Lacquer
Dior Vernis (RM99) conveys all the power of colour with four metallic shades – the gleaming grey Metallics, the neo-classical green Paradox and the champagne Enigma – along with a raspberry red called Sophisticated.
