How to Take Your Makeup From Day to Night

Due to our busy lifestyle, it always seems like there just aren’t enough time in the day. When it comes to makeup, it has to be transitional, this is because we don’t always have time to stop home after work to transition our makeup properly. As a result, we carry a bunch of makeup into the washroom and do some serious touch up before we meet up with friends for happy hour. But not anymore.

Senior makeup artist Oliva Loke showed us how to go from daytime makeup to nighttime makeup easily in this video.

How to Get the Day Look

1. Nude Foundation
The right makeup formula plays an important role in how well it performs throughout the day. Therefore, it is crucial to use a foundation that lasts, so that we don’t have to reapply foundation for night makeup look.

Here we use the Physicians Formula Nude Wear Touch of Glow Foundation. This foundation provides a weightless fluid foundation that gives just the right amount of coverage, while remaining virtually undetectable on the skin.

To get started, apply the foundation evenly onto your face. Blend the foundation with a stippling brush until it looks seamless.

2. Concealer
Next step is to conceal all the flaws with the Physicians Formula Nude Wear Touch of Glow Stick. Remember to cover up your dark eye circle, brighten your complexion by dapping it on your T-zone and corner of lips.

3. Two-Way Cake
Using a two-way cake, apply a thin layer to absorb excess oil from the skin.

4. Eyebrows
Fill in your brows with a colour that is same as your hair colour.

How to Get the Night Look

You don’t necessarily have to remove anything to put on a fresh layer. For your morning-to-night makeover, start from:

1. Eyeshadow
Touch up your makeup with an earth tone eyeshadow.

2. Shading Powder
Apply a matte shading powder on the lower cheekbones to contour and define your face shape.

3. Lipstick
Use a bright lipstick and fill in your lips with a lip brush.
