For nearly 20 years, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics has worked hard to help empower women and girls beyond makeup. The brand has partnered with non-profit organizations to help women and girls develop job skills, sustain a business and gain access to educational resources. On International Women’s Day in 2019, Bobbi Brown officially launched The Pretty Powerful Fund to support the creation of possibilities for women and girls globally.

In 2020, The Pretty Powerful Fund continues this commitment by kicking off a global partnership with She’s The First. Over the past several months, She’s The First led the charge in organizing girls from all over the world to develop the first-ever Global Girls’ Bill of Rights. Written by girls for girls, the Bill gives girls the opportunity to voice their needs, declaring what is most important to them, their well-being and their future. More than 1,000 girls ages 13-22, representing nearly 40 countries and five languages, submitted the rights most important to them, culminating in a document that was presented at the United Nations. The Global Girls Bill of Rights outlines the 10 essential rights girls should be entitled to globally, inclusive of a free, quality education, equality, protection, and more.

To launch the partnership, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics will be making an initial seed grant in the amount of USD$25,000 to support the development the Girls’ Bill of Rights digital tool kit, an online hub which girls from all over the world can utilize to take action in their local communities.

The Pretty Powerful Fund will continue to support She’s The First’s education and development initiatives by providing strategic donations, supporting ongoing programming, and raising awareness for these initiatives throughout the upcoming year and beyond.
